This picture is so crisp and vivid, it also captures very well the surroundings of the fishing port. On the on hand it is very peaceful, but on the other hand we can feel the raw energy of the daily life of real people.
Yes, it’s definitely a happening place. During the wet season you can ride one of these longboats upriver for a 2 to 3 day journey to reach Timbuktu.
